From helping visitors at some of the Commission’s most well-known sites to meeting the royal family at commemorations marking the Centenary of Passchendaele, the first wave of interns to join the CWGC’s centenary programme share their experience as their three-month stint with the Commission comes to an end.

Canadian Rededication Ceremony

The Commission headstone commemorating Leading Aircraftman Hollis Eugene HOWARD (17 Nov 1940) will be dedicated today (22 Sept 2017) at Quebec City Mount Hermon Cemetery.

The CWGC Plymouth Naval Memorial, unveiled in July 1924, commemorates more than 7,200 sailors of the First World War who sailed from the naval base of Devonport. The Second World War Extension was unveiled in May 1954 and bears the names of nearly 16,000 service personnel who were lost or buried at sea.

An appeal for relatives is a search to locate the next of kin for soldiers who fell in war. Could you be connected to any of these individuals?
